My Bettas and their tanks

I have a 6 bettas, very personable fish. 5 are in a 20 gallon long divided in 5 sections and a 3 gallon tank. I have 2 king males, 2 Halfmoons, 1 deltatail, and 1 koi. They are very active, healthy and eat well. These guys are doing great, had them for a few months, and I love them.

He is a Gold Halfmoon betta.

I lost four of my bettas. One gotten fin rot and died before I could treat him, one got stuck under a rock and drowned, and two were fine, ate in the morning and dead that night. My koi and gold are the only two I have left. I pulled all the dividers out of the 20 gallon long. May do something with it where I keep the gold betta as the show fish.

What are your maintenance procedures and what is fed?

You might consider a True UV Sterilizer for this aquarium too.

I’m not home at the moment. I do bi-weekly water changes to weekly depending on what my tests read. Since I have well water, it is also hard, but never had any issues with that. I did a 50% on the tank, but all the deaths were weeks apart not all at once.

I've never had good luck with bettas. They seem to just suddenly get sick and die.

I been having that issue to. The oldest one I have is my Koi betta, he had grown since I got him almost a year ago. Thinking of ordering a betta from a site that gets them imported.

I recently lost my koi male betta, he had gone blind and had dropsey. I removed him from the tank he was in to try to treat him but he had died before I could get to treat him. I did pick up a few males. One is in a 2.5 gallon tank by himself. I have another tank has a temporary divided tank till i redo my 20 long as a divided tank. One is a dragon scale, one is a partial dragon scale and the other is a golden pineapple dumbo. I do have a white crown tail, but no picture of him.

Thank you. I plan on getting one or two more males. The 20 is being divided into 4 sections this time. My dumbo and crowntail are going into the 20. My half dragon scale is getting his own tank on my night stand.

Tank is now divided again and I have 2 bettas in there now.

I ended up going to the pet store and left with two bettas, only wanted to look at them. I ended up with a rosetail and a blue marble. I can’t be left alone in pet stores.

I just got a 5 1/2 gallon tank, currently divided in two. But I’m giving away my rosetail betta to a friend and moving the one to the divided 20. I also gotten myself a HM king.
