Renee....i would also like to mention 1 more thing. A hospital tank is supposed to be clean and almost sterile aquatic environment...but at the same time, the tetra will be more comfy with something in the bucket like maybe a plant. this to me is very important especially for a skiddish fish such as this one. a little more comfy and this fish will be able to utilise the meds better when the stress level is down.

the pics are a lil out of focus.....but the tetra doesn`t look that bad outside of the fins. i was expecting MUCH MUCH thinner. I have seen worse , but have also seen better. carry on with carl`s recomendations and we`ll all keep our fingers crossed.

not sure if daily excersions are the best for puon. stress of being moved is very high in these cases. try maybe a feeding ring or some other way....even a breeding trap is better than removal...

i dont feel this is any of this. you lead me to believe that she is a timid female. she will hide and prolly only eat when there is food very very close to her hiding spot. you are doing the right thing by spreading out the food throughout the hole upper foot print. without you spreading grub out over the surfaCE SHE WOULD SURELY STARVE to death. maybe over feed the tank and do bigger more frequent water changes...

btw....do you scrub the sides of the tank with plastic scrubbies? some of those have diff chemicals on them which often poison the water. i have seen similar results by clients using grocery store scrubbies and turned out there was soap right in the scrubbies.

ph shock would be my guess iff you transfered media. the 2 waters could be very different...and ghost knives in particular are very suseptible to sudden ph changes. when you get the test kits and we have some solid numbers we will be much more helpful. btw, sorry you had to go through this. it is tough...and a fresh feeling to me as i lost my octopus a week or so ago...

what i did with floating food for the octopus is put them into an open baby food jar and lay the jar on its side in the tank. they may still float but they are floating in the jar and the shrimp will venture in for dinner...

I don`t really do anything and i have a million lil mysis shrimp that survived the being frozen. they get sucked into the filter and eventually get expelled back into the tank. with this method of laziness i still have a good population of fish snacks...

I will for sure. Charlies color changing fascinated me and a cuttlefish has even more extreme color changes. more colors and more patterns...in fact i read they have a communication method by color change. I am hooked on cephs...

well all.....charlie isnt doing to well. think his days are numbered. his species , A. Acleatus normally last anywhere from 1 month to around 9 months. this is due to the 1 year lifespan and this species is famous for being at the end of their lifespan by the time you get them home. please all...send some positive thoughts his way that he recovers....TY aLL
