i'm very sorry that she didn't make it as john said, they're cute and beautiful, but they also have very short lives, and those pregnancy's are very stressful for them

fish are much hardier then we think i saw/see it on mine they had also a temperature change of 15-20 degrees down most of the tanks are at 65 degrees, and i have neon tetras in those, which are really not the hardiest, but they're doing great
i'm glad you didn't loose any fish john, that's really great

rams are almost impossible to tell on how they're really doing the one thing i would watch for, is really strong coloration, which means the male is happy in his current surroundings and more likely to be strong sorry you lost him

the airpump is fine it's the bubblewand itself which needs to be cleaned out once in a while, as dirt starts collecting in there and algae
either you buy a new stick, or you start poking the holes with a needle while cleaning
I found that the sticks are really inexpensive, and just buy new ones about every 6 months

congrats on your new aquired fish kagome I think with all the measurements you took, the newly aquired fish will do good in your tank when i had my rams, they never had any problems with any of the other fish just make sure you feed them a varied diet

you should also do a vinegar test on any rocks you collect if it bubbles up, they're no good for the use of aquariums
if it doesn't bubble up, your'e good to go on cooking them
use white vinegar for that
