My angelfish have fungus... again... I'm pretty sure the angels got it from the tetra's, and I caught it a lot earlier than I did before. If it even is fungus... I don't even know. Here's some pictures: Also, I am having trouble with my sponge filter/air pump... It has a LOT of pressure... I mean a TON! I was thinking maybe since it goes clear up to 125 gallons, I got one that was way to huge for the tank I have. We can't seem to get the control valve to fit on to it...

Okay, Well I added 1 tsp of salt to my 10 gallon, and the Melafix... I was wondering if there is anything else I can do?
My dad fixed the powerhead somehow, all I know is that it works now lol... My 55 gallon is coming together nicely, and I'm getting really antsy to put fish in there now... *resist the urge!*

As for your Sponge Filter, I would recommend full power for your size tank, however you can diffuse the bubbles by using an air stone/ air diffuser; this will produce finer less "aggressive" water agitation. For the fungus (this is actually Saprolegnia), the salt is a good first step. However since Saprolegnia and the possible Columnaris you have on the Neons (this could be Saprolegnia as well, but the pictures are not as clear as your Angel), are extremely opportunistic, it is VERY important to maintain the best water conditions possible. This includes 0 ammonia/nitrites, a stable pH, KH over 50, and a GH of at least 100. As I noted in another thread, Melafix is more of an antiseptic treatment for injuries and similar and is absolutely useless for Saprolegnia/Fungus (as well as Columnaris). Pimafix is more effective for Saprolegnia/Fungus, but it is still only a mild treatment and may not be adequate. You might give Pimafix a try (an organic cousin treatment to Melafix), but you may need to use a stronger treatment such as Kanamycin and/or Nitrofurazone. Triple Sulfa is a treatment that is midway in strength between Pimafix and the Kanamycin/Nitrofurazone treatments Twice daily 30 minute Medicated Baths using Salt and Methylene Blue or Potassium Permangante are STRONGLY suggested as well and have the benefit of being an out of tank treatment that can compliment your in tank treatment while not interfering with the tank environment.
