Could you supply a picture? Based on your timeline, you might have obtained this Molly when already quite old (Mollies only live a few years and it is unfortunately not uncommon for many older fish to be sold). Diet over their lifespan can play a major role in their health too, unfortunately here, while you can control what she is fed now, poor care prior to obtaining your molly can have a future affect. I've seen this in many tests I've conducted with livebearers and goldfish as per diet and water parameters. What is her current diet? I would also suggest a one tablespoon of salt per 5 gallons in her aquarium (this can be upped to 1 teaspoon per gallon too) Further Reading: www.americanaquariumproducts.com/Livebearers.html#mollywww.americanaquariumproducts.com/Aquarium_Disease.htmlwww.americanaquariumproducts.com/Quality_Fish_Food.htmlCarl

Hi,thank you for responding. Unfortunately my Molly girl already pass away. I hope that her babies will stay with me for a long time. I keep them with a tablespoon salt, fed them AAP omnivorous food, FB brine shrimp, and algea.Water change is performed every 2 weeks, vacuumm every week. I also have another aquarium with a male Molly, male platy, and male guppy same routine for that aquarium. Any suggestions about something else I can do to keep them healthy? I am also wondering when is a good time to separate my babies. I don't have room for more fish, so I need to separate the male from the females, but I can't tell yet. They are 4 months old

The best place to start as per keeping a healthy aquarium is to follow this article in full(which it seems you are already off to a good start) www.americanaquariumproducts.com/Aquarium_Disease.htmlAs for separation of babies, this is subjective question. Generally speaking if the babies are swimming openly with adults, your babies are OK to keep with the adults. If hiding, they need to be removed. Carl

Thanks for the advise, I will give another good reading to the article. What I mean about the babies is at what age they'll start reproducing? I can't tell their sexes yet.

They start reproducing when they get full grown at about a year old.
