I bought this from AAP as a treat for my goldfish. They basically went nuts trying to eat it....jumping out of water and hitting the glass tops. Their review says it all. As I said, it's just a treat, normal diet is Paradigm, Sanyu and Spirulina 20.....

I just got some and can verify that the fishies go after it like mad. Might be a good food to mix with meds if they think it is that good?

Sure would be worth a shot, but let's hope we all can stay away from aquarium meds for awhile....

Ya know, it's funny. Back when I was a kid...prior to my first 10 gallon aquarium kit, I had a fish bowl. The goldfish I had lived almost 6 years. I won it at a fair festival. While I'm not sure what killed it...I don't recall ever seeing signs of illness in the fish...at least any of the illnesses we talk about in the forums. But then again I was young and completely naive to the hobby...

But then again I was young and completely naive to the hobby... plus, sometimes real basic set-ups with little hands in the tank playing around end up having a healthy long-term stable redox over a larger tank with lots of changing factors (adding new fish, conditioners, etc) Plus a single fish has lots less to worry about with regards to other fish, feeding, etc. It's not such a competition. Comparative, these fish should live 12-20 years (they say, in the wild) ...so, it's just how we play with our little glass boxes.

Good observation Devon. My 29 tall tank with a Marineland Magnum 350 housing my first African Frog was my most stable tank...for years without issue.

{Well I was just about to post this when I did something--don't know what--and the whole thing disappeared. I'll try to remember what I was writing:}
First off: Speaking of worms, my brother (who died in 2012, while on a transplant list) used to be a pastor, and in the summers he would challenge the kids to meet certain goals, and if they did, he would shave his head (he had the most beautiful fluffy hair back in high school) or eat worms (or "other" bugs), etc.
Also, I don't know if you know who Ogden Nash was--he wrote nonsense (as well as serious) poems. One of my favorites:
A gourmand once challenged me to eat A little piece of rattlesnake meat; He said "do not be panic-stricken, You'll find it tastes a lot like chicken." Now chicken I find I cannot eat Because it tastes like rattlesnake meat!
Another one I like has a title, and a sub-title (I can't remember the whole title at the moment), which is almost longer than the limerick itself, which is:
" . . . or, Lines Written to Console Those Ladies Who . . . " It goes like this:
The girl who is bespectacled, She may not get her neck tickled; But safety pins and basinettes Await the girl who fascinettes.
Or perhaps you've heard "The Wapiti":
There goes the wapiti, Hippity hoppity.
I don't know what happened to the book we had (I haven't seen it for a few years), it was called "The Face is Familiar".
