Has anyone used Pablo Tepoot's New Life Spectrum fish foods? Do you know anything about them, Carl? I was looking at the plants, etc, available at Arizona Aquatic Gardens, and they mention them--also have some for sale. I've noticed them in other locations as well, but never really paid attention to them. I checked my old aquarium supply catalogs, and Drs Foster and Smith carry quite a few of them, so I checked their website (they are the only place I've found that actually has the ingredient/analysis list for each food--they don't carry the shrimp formula, though, so I don't know the info on it). If you go to www.newlife.ipbhost.com there is a conversation about the ingredients (on the forum) with Pablo. They sound like good foods to me; not a lot of ingredients, and they include arctric krill, whole hering meal, garlic and spirulina, among a few others. They have one formula called Thera P that has extra garlic. I don't need to order food yet, but when I do, I was thinking about ordering some. I'd like to get some of the new (?)Paradagim food, too, but I really only need smaller amounts. And, of course, I'll order more Spirulina Plus; I never had a problem with my fish accepting it, they took to it from the 1st.

Yes I am familiar with them. My sister aquarium maintenance company as well as a couple others I know have used New Life Spectrum Fish Foods too. Their ingredients and reviews from those I trust certainly make them one of the better fish foods in a rather crowded market. That said, with this crowded market, I have elected to stay with foods that seem to have a clear niche which is why I went with Paradigm Foods since they are unique in their ingredients and more so their approach to manufacturing. The New Life Spectrum Fish Foods compare a lot with the Aqua Master line of fish foods, however the feed back I get between the two is heavily in favor of the Aqua Master line (from professionals I might add), which is why I elected to sell this line over the Spectrum. As well this line fish foods is one that has put out a reasonably good product along with Omega Fish Foods, then once well marketed, thrown their professional fish keeping retailers under the bus in favor of Amazon and other big name online retailers that have no real customer service (at further discounted prices too). Personally, I have a serious issue with this type of business practice and would never sell AN Y fish food that practices business this way Product Resource: www.americanaquariumproducts.com/AquaMaster.htmlFurther Reading (Fish Nutrition Article, including recommendations and why): www.americanaquariumproducts.com/Quality_Fish_Food.htmlCarl
