OK I'm reading again I have always boiled my rocks for my tank or microwaved, was reading that there is a chance they could explode? If they have water inside or really cold from outside. Is there any truth in this? Heard people have died or but big holes in there walls What do you think?

I would never put a rock in the microwave! I plce them in a pot of warm water and slowly boil them for 5-10 minutes - I boiled a whole canning kettle full yesterday that took 3 hours just to bring to a boil - it weighed so much I couldn't lift it off the stove when I was done - had to use long tongs and syphon off the water just to get it outside to cool - air cool, then rinse in cold water from the garden hose - yes, the can explode when subjected to extremes - don't put a rock from a hot firepit in water - mostly the'yy crack, but depending on the type of rock, it could result in a violent explosion! - slow is the key....hope this helps
