The daughter loves inverts, especially her RCS. But the snails are out of control. There's hundreds of MTS and pond snails now and with the birth of a half dozen new guppies, the bioload in her little tank is overwhelming.
I ordered 4 assassin snails this morning, they should be here next week.
Anybody have any experience? They look a lot prettier than the brown things she has now, so I think she'll like them strictly from a "pet" perspective.

Parker,
Carl and I both have had this problem. I just started plucking them out and throwing them in my pond, or the trash. They will continue to multiply like rabbits if you don't get rid of them, or control the population! Mine were controlled by large fish that would eat them, and now that the fish are gone, it is a lot harder to control. Although, my tank is looking spotless these days! Good luck!

Yeah, there's been days where I've removed over 100 pond snails and it doesn't even seem to make a dent.

Have you tried putting a net in the tank with zucchini in it? They should swarm to it. Just empty the net of snails every day and replace the zucchini. There are other methods, but this is one I have heard of working to a degree. Best of luck with getting the snails under control!

We've tried pretty much every trick you can think of. They're just too prolific unfortunately. The only thing we haven't tried is assassin snails, so we'll see...
