I screwed around and ran out of fish food recently so I rushed out to find something decent. Of course, nobody really carries anything decent but I did find some HBH "Super Soft" pellets with spirulina.
They're soft so it's easy to crush them into smaller sizes for my smaller fish.
The first 10 ingredients are (in order listed):
Spirulina Powder, Fish Meal, Wheat Flour, Pea Powder, Glycerin, Fish Oil, Brewers Dried Yeast, Soy Lecithin, Zucchini Powder, and Carrot Powder
I'm feeding this 4-5 days per week as a staple food.
I was originally feeding Hikari Bio Pure Spirulina Brine Shrimp (the freeze dried kind) the other 2-3 days of the week but have finally run out and completely replaced it with the following frozen foods:
Hikari Spirulina Brine Shrimp Hikari Brine Shrimp Hikari Mysis Shrimp Hikari Blood Worms
Does this sound like a good regimen? I haven't lost a fish in a while so I'm hoping I've settled on something good here...

I have not used this particular soft pellet food, however I have used others and in general found HBH an excellent brand at a good price. I would suggest a balanced flake food too such as HBH Tropical or Spirulina 20HBH has an excellent Veggie flake too Also see Fish Nutrition; Suggested Foods

The ingredient list looks very close to HBH Tropical.

I've used something from HBH before...I think it was the veggie food. I've been feeding Aqeon flakes for a while now as the main food. I'll throw in a day of Spirulina and a frozen food day once a week for each as well.
On a whim I bought some new Tetra food a few months ago. It's a bloodworm gel. It comes in little individual packets. It kind of squirts out of the package as a blob, then breaks up as the fish go at it. The fish in my 50 gallon really go crazy for it. The 30 fish just watch the blob float around for a while - they don't really get what it is until it breaks up on its own, then they'll eat it. It breaks up into very fine pieces, so it looks kind of messy. It clears up pretty quickly though.

Most of my fish aren't picky eaters but they go absolutely wild over the frozen stuff, especially the mysis shrimp and bloodworms.

I know what you mean! My rainbows are so spoiled that they only accept frozen food at this point. They'll nibble at flakes a little but mostly their staple is the frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp spirulina mix. Thankfully the barbs aren't at all picky.
I have used the HBH flakes and had good results with colorful fish.
