Grrrr....i brought a heater for winter, its a Aqua one 100 watt. Five days ago (one month after buying it) i got a replacement because the original grew algae INSIDE it. Now 5 days later the replacement is doing the same thing or at least the begining. Now i cant figure out where its leaking, but im very frustrated i have no heater on my 100 gal (350litres) in the middle of winter!!
So my question is do you reckon my fish will be ok at somewhere between 8-15 cel for a few days at night and a max of about 20 for the day?? And any recommend brands guys? Im getting a refund or credit tomorrow and buying else where and not from aqua one!!
Very frustrated had to vent guys!!!
Has anyone else had problems with aqua one before?

I am not familiar with the Aqua One, likely it is a "knock off" brand or regional brand.
If 8-15 Celsius is correct, this is much too cold, i would not recommend a temperature below 22 C (& even this is quite cool for many tropical fish)..
I do not know what brands are for sell in Australia, however here are a few brands I have had success with dozens of (not just a few)
*Ebo Jager *Hagen Tronic *Rena Smart *Via Aqua

just a question. is 8-15 degrees the outside temp? if so, is this a tiny pond or an outdoor tank? again, if so,what kind of fish are there?
