hi i have 2 clown loaches but haven't seen them out for 2 days. they are in hiding in a decoration i know that because you can see there tails moving but my worry is that they are stuck in there?. this is unusual for these 2 fish of mine as you see them swimming about most of the day. is this normal for these loaches to hide or do you think i should try and ease them out.i done a 50% water change and they stayed in the decoration during the change but have not been out since. cheers from your worried Scotsman.

I'm not sure if clown loaches normally hide in decorations a lot. I have never had any. Have you tried moving it a little? They would likely come out and then you could see if anything was wrong with them.

for a fish that is normally out and about, they will always remain out and about unless they are in a weakened state or was spooked real bad. has anything new happened recently?

I have 2 clowns and a skunk loach. I sometimes only see the skunk in the Java Fern...his/her eyes are normal (not dead looking) so I know he/she is alive...have not seen the clowns in months (not sure if they are still alive)...this tank is heavily planted though. I gotta go in and trim some of the plants back....the hornwart has taken over LOL
