He's still kicking in this morning, but he looked miserable poor guy You have done about the most you can do! Unfortunately with medicated foods such as the Gel Tek Neomycin is that although it can and does work, getting a fish to eat it especially when sick is often another story. Does he eat at all? If so one other treatment is to soak this food for 1/2 hour in a small amount of water and MetronidazoleAlthough I agree that the outlook is not good, I personally do not give up until the end, but this is my opinion. I fed him some brine shrimp tonight. He ate a few but only if i held it right at his lips so he didn't have to move to get it. So then I got the bright idea to soak the shrimp in the neomycin before i gave it too him so I hope I got some medicine in to his lil belly tonight. I'm not giving up, but the reality that they may be my first ever betta loss has set in and it upsets me. I'm still treating him and trying everything I can.

Good job Sammie. all you can do is your best. He's lasting longer than mine did. That's a positive sign.

I'm actually suprised he's still alive, his body doesn't look any better at all. He ate one pellet soaked 30 mins in medication this morning but that was it. He's even moving around a tiny bit better but his body doesn't look better at all. I'm gunna feed him some pea tonight

Here is to thinking positive Sam Carl

Just in case nobody mentioned it, remove the carbon from the filter during any medication. Carbon will absorb any medication from the water, rendering it useless. John

Unless you have a sponge filter. Then you don't have to remove anything, the sponge filter doesn't suck up medication. lol
