Bought 4 female mickey mouse platies and a blue and red betta. They've been in the tank now for a little over an hour and seem pretty happy.
As for my filtration, we got a killer deal on another Aqueon 55 and since I already have one, I thought that would be easiest as far as replacement filter media, etc. So I now have two Aqueon 55's running at each end of the tank.
