I don't get onto Yahoo Answers very often...well...I never get on Yahoo Answers any more..unless someone sends me a link... This just pissed me off...... I commented on it though "Asker: For the full article...please go here: www.americanaquariumproducts.com/AquariumUVSterilization.htmlPoster: Please site your sources! The OWNER of this article (a friend of mine!) has done the research so YOU can get the Yahoo points!!! Thank You for giving him the credit! @$$!!!!" Everyone if you got the email from Carl...and you feel like it...post that you are not happy that Carl did NOT get credit (Site Source) for the information. Carl...I hope you don't mind Lori

That person really needs to be more careful. Take information from an author's article that is not so friendly and that person may get in bigger trouble. It is a shame to see people claiming other people's hard earned research as their own. Sorry that this happened Carl.

Just an FYI, but some of the answerer's words were lifted VERBATIM from that page at Carl's site. And there happens to be a little tidbit at the very bottom of Carl's page that says "Copyright © 2009, American Aquarium Products. All rights reserved."
Obviously, something like this is hardly worth the time, effort, and most importantly, money.
But the answerer should understand that what he did is not just dishonest and disingenuous. It's also illegal.

Thanks Suzie Q for posting this! Thanks to others here for your comments, actions! I only sent the thread to you initially, but this is great that you posted it. I guess what initially bugged me when I stumbled upon this was not even that he lifted off the article verbatim, but that he did not give credit and WORSE, he took the part he lifted out of context to make an erroneous point. If the asker or any readers at least had the opportunity to fully read the source, they could not come to the conclusion that the person who took credit for this did. Sadly Yahoo is going to do nothing about this, which is typical for Yahoo answers. Carl
