I have updated my Aquarium Redox article with one of my largest updates in months. Major reworking of all sections, new diagrams and a new summary is just part of this update. This was in part brought on by further research of mine uncovering a rather nasty comment about this article by someone I previously respected at the Tom Barr Plant Report website. It was clear from this post that the person in question did not read the full article AND all the cited resource links. Quite bluntly this is one of my most researched articles, citing research from the medical community and more and his comments were equal to someone still stating the world is flat despite known facts. Honestly, this person (who is considered a guru in many aquatic circles) is why I have little trust of so much cr## that comes out of this hobby/industry. If a person of his stature cannot even read the research (he does not have to agree with all the conclusions drawn from said research), this does not bode well for other facts to get past persons that hold tightly to anecdotal 20 year old information about aquarium care. I personally will still read this persons suggestions about plant care; however I will never trust his information again without much scrutiny. Here is part of his comments: "the part about "water ionization" is frigging rubbish. That's quackery marketing."Anyway, here is the article: Aquarium RedoxCarl

Sorry to hear that you got a rude/thoughtless comment like that. I know what you write in your articles is true and that your research is. I've seen the medications you have recommended for my sick who were sick SAVE their lives. Your articles are professionally done and more accurate than I have seen anywhere else on the internet.
