Thanks for the update Carl! I read the Potassium Permanganate section which I noticed is now longer/more thorough.
I have one question though. I received the Potassum Permanganate in the mail yesterday to treat my goldfish Oranda with cloudy eyes but I am waiting for the Erythromycin to come so I can give her baths with the Potassium Permanganate while treating the tank with Erythromycin. To my question, your article refered to the dosage for Potassium Permaganate in ppm (parts per million) while my bottle of Potassium Permanganate refers to dosage in Milliliters per Liter or something similar.
Is there a conversion I can use to change mL/L to ppm? I can guess on how to convert it using conversion factors from my Chemistry class but I don't want to mess up and make a mistake. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I give this information in the Bath article I link to in the article, but your question arose I added it to this article as well.
Basically you would use double the normal tank dose listed on the bottle for a bath when using prepared liquid Potassium Permanganate.
The measurement I gave was for mixing your own from dry potassium permanganate (which is how my large aquaculture operations use this product)

there are mutiple conversion charts available on the internet - I usually print them and also add them to "my favorites" - you can't believe how much info is there and how valuable it is at times - larned that trick a long time ago from my wife who is a registerd nurse!

Thanks for answering my question and adding that to your article. I'm sure it will help many people who use Potassium Permangate baths for their fish.
