Hey guys, Just introducing my new betta: Boomer I love him so much already his character is so cute and funny. I also think he is the most gorgeous fish I have owned so far. I splurged a little bit and went for what big als calls a 'super delta' which i know if a betta type but what they display as super deltas are double tail bettas. I am still debating however if he is infact a super delta dt or a halfmoon dt because he hasn't really gone around flaring up yet since I just got him yesterday.
Anyways, here are some pics. The first couple were will flash and for some reason my camera and fish with flash always expose reaaaally green so he's not as green as he appears to be in the first couple, he has a more bluish green, alot of black and some red in the body.

Beautiful Betta Sam! Maybe you can get him to flare and show his full fins so Suzie Q and others here can help positively determine his "type".
BTW, your Percula Clownfish in the first picture appears lifeless (dead) ;D

tehehe i love my plastic nemo and dory. They came with this tiny display bowl thing with a magnet base, and they have magnets in them so when it was turned on they would swim around. But that thing sucked through batteries like crazy so I tossed em in there to give the betta some friends

I wish I could actually capture his true colors but my camera just isn't doing it well. If you guys think he's gorgeous with these pics, you'd probably fall over if you saw him in real life. He's stunning and I can't get it to translate in the photos well at all.

btw, I'm having issues getting the spoiled thing to eat pellets. Apparently he's pre-packaged spoiled lol because i fed my fish shrimp a day ago and he gobbled htem up like crazy but he will not touch the pellets for the life of him. Any ideas on what to do to gethim to eat them?

Any ideas on what to do to gethim to eat them? Try soaking them in water with some fish oil capsules opened into the water (the oil will float, but so should the pellets) Carl

What about some freeze dried food like bloodworms, tubifex worms, or brine shrimp? P.S. He is very handsome!

Thanks for ideas guys, this morning he decided out of no where that pellets were okay for him too lol, but he is so tiny he has a hard time getting them down, takes a couple minutes to get it down before he can have one more. But thankfully he came around on his own, I do feed all my fish blood worms nad brine shrimp but I don't like to every day, that just gets pricey. So he's coming around, he's already starting to reconize me and come to the glass to wiggle when I come to see him, so that makes me happy too

He is very pretty! I love the tips of his fins! My delta had a hard time getting normal sized pellets down too for a long time. I'd have to pick through and find the smallest ones. I think he just wasn't used to eating them or something because now he has no problems at all.

yeah he's a DT, super delta I think, I'm thinking he doesnthave enough finnage there to be a halfmoon the more I look at him, but he's pretty mellow so he doesn't flare much to get a better look.
