This post is seems kind of awkward so please excuse that but I didn't know how else to describe this...
I have been sweating quite a bit lately, ever since I was working at JC Penney's. I believe it is a combination of the heat (since it's summer) and stress but that's not my concern. It's actually for my fish.
This evening it was in the low 80's and I was doing a water change for one of my bettas. And unfortunately, beads of sweat were dripping down my face. I tried to position my face so when the when it dropped off my face, it would drip onto the floor and not the 1 gallon container I was changing water in. I suceeded until the end of the water change when I was about to put the lid back on. A drip of sweat fell into the 1 gallon and also the bag of salt I used for the fish before I closed it. The salt is old and there is barely left so it shouldn't be a problem, but I am concerned about the fish. I have heard that there is ammonia in sweat. So, would a drip of it falling in a 1 gallon tank raise the ammonia? And also that it fell in the bag of salt, will that affect anything?
Thanks.
Renee

not in my opinion Renee - the amount of diluted ammonia in one drop of sweat would be barely measurable

you could sweat alot more than a few drops into a tank with no ill effect. i wouldnt worry about it for a second renee. i promise there will be no problems arise because of this.

Thanks for answering my question guys. It is nothing to worry about then. I didn't know that sweat contained that little ammonia.
