is it all genetics that results to xanthic fish?or are there any other factor like water condition or temperature? i have now 1 xanthic flowerhorn fry,and some xanthic convict fry(pink ci\onvicts),and also some xanthic betta fry..is it all coincidence? ;D

Although I am not an expert of the exact causes of yellow colorations in fish, one thing that is known is that over-layer of yellow pigment in many fish and amphibians that reflect light to form other colors, such as blues, so there may be a genetic defect at play here. Try increasing Carotenoids; (Orange/ Red pigment enhancers) in their diet with lobster shell extract or adding large amounts of Spirulina to their diet. Carl
