hey guys,i want to hear your opinions or comments, negative or positive,on my other tanks.i keep them outside and has been using to breed all my fishes and also to raise fry.. i keep my bettas here,it may look small but it's 1.5 gallon these i use to raise guppy fry, atleast 10 fry per tank and 15 fry on the small yellow basin.the jars and small bowl beside is used to gather mosquito larvaes and cyclops and also algaes. here are my barrels and small plastic tanks(rice box actually, way cheaper than tanks),i keep and breed in there barbs, tetras, cichlids, and juvenile bichirs and oscar. and here is tire barrel,i keep in there a pair of convict and 2 juvenile flowerhorns with juvenile tilapias(oreochromis niloticus).. being resourceful is one key to keep my passion and fish hobby.the urge to keep and breed fish to think of ways and to be resourceful.in our country, and being in the financial state as i am,resourcefulness is one vital key. ;D

Very interesting. I never thought of keeping my fish outside. With tropical fish in as cold a place in the U.S. I am in, I couldn't keep any of my fish besides my goldfish outside without them getting too cold and dying.
I am curious. How do you regulate the temperature for the fish? I'd imagine at night the temperature drops. Also, what do you use for filters and aeration? It looks like a very nice setup. Very resourceful like you said.

And that you are! I used rubbermaid containers for breeding and my first LFS holding/quarantine area dating back to 1979 (very effective for the cost, plus for quarantine it kept a more "calm" environment for the new fish) Carl

Carl but all other local backyard breeder here do have same observation.natural exposed sunlight is healthier.
