I think you all know I'm involved with CARES. CARES is not just about cichlids, but that is where my knowledge lies.
There are so many species that are at risk, it is incredible. Not only cichlids, but live bearers, Gouramis, bettas, loaches...on and on and on.
The species list is always under revision. Additions are made regularly, and I don't know if I can keep up with them all. The state of our waterways are deteriorating at a rapid pace, and a lot of fish are in desperate need of conservation.
I'm going to start a thread for each group, and please feel free to add pictures and information of any fish that you are familiar with. Education is key!
