I made a large update in my Aquarium Columnaris & Fungus article. I added a new section about identification, re-arranged the forward and removed the question/answer section (which I felt was distracting). I also double checked many facts as well, especially since so many web sites including Wikipedia had many incorrect statements such as poor water conditions being a factor, which this is basically incorrect as Columnaris is an aerobic bacterium ad they are likely confusing this with Aeromonas. As well Wikipedia and others noted Erythromycin (Maracyn) as a treatment which is patently wrong as Erythromycin is a gram positive antibiotic while Columnaris is gram negative. The Saproleginia section has a new diagram which also should help understand my point about not using decomposing shrimps or similar for aquarium cycling.
