That is really such a nice looking loach. He looks very healthy and happy. Is he very active? Whenever I see them in the stores they seem very lazy.

i thaught the same thing looking at them in the stores but hes the 2nd most active fish we have in the 28 tank. well 4th now since we added the crazy cichlids they go a mile a minute. but he likes to do laps and never buries himself and hides but he does have lazy spells where hell hang around alot but hes never hiding and likes to be the center of attention.

Sounds like they are very entertaining. Nice pictures. I can imagine holding one of these fish in my hands (underwater of course) and them nibbling at my finger. They're really cute!

they arent very friendly or atleast not with people they can be extremely skittish specially during water changes or tank decor being moved around. they can dart faster than anything ive ever been across in common aquariums and ive seen all sorts of different fish. think its because they are long and sleek so they can move there long bodies for acceleration and glide like a torpedo!

I think it's cute that he drapes himself over things like a scarf.

I can still picture myself holding one. XD Hope they settle down for you. I find them absolutely adorable for some reason. You're lucky to have them.
