Anyone like bettas, I do!
This is my blue male with a red wash. He is back lit so you can't really see how pretty he is. This is a 10g mixed fancy guppy tank. Some of the females are as big as he is. They are old ladies and starting to show the hump in their back that really old guppies get.

Very nice! He looks a bit like my old Jasper did, only he looks a lot bigger than mine! He has probably grown some since I got him, he has been snacking on the guppy fry that he can catch. Bettas are notorious fry hunters.

Nice Betta 8. He looks like he has heavy fins for a CT...NICE!!!!! Heavy fins? I do not know that term for bettas. His extensions are all double rayed and seem to be a tad longer than most CT's I have seen, though. He is going to another tank soon so more fry will survive in there for future sales at the auctions. Lots of livebearer people at cichlid auctions for some reason....
Some of the old time hardcore cichlid people call livebearers "food." I don't feed them to my cichlids (just this one betta, by chance), but a lot of people do.

He does look a lot like my Spike. Does he ever build nest in the tank? Spike did when he was alone. But now that I have him in with other fish, no nest. Miss them!

There is way too much activity in the tank for him to start thinking bubble nest. There are probably 40 or so nosey guppys of all sizes in there with him. They are constantly checking everything out and would interfere with his bubbles way too much for him to successfully complete a nest.
