I did a large update again on this article (which BTW dates back to studies I did in 1979, making this article one of my oldest in origin) *I added a new sub-section in the "Fats" section about Omega 3 *I added a whole new Section dealing with poor appetite, malnutrition, sick fish. *As per Eve I added a sub section in the summary (very bottom of the article) with a list of recommended foods (so submissions to this will be accepted provided they meet with the outline of the article) Aquarium Fish Nutrition; Omega 3, malnutrition, recommended foodsCarl

I just read your article on fish nutrition and I found the part on Poor Appetite, Malnutrition, and Sick Fish very helpful. I know you wrote it in response to my betta who wouldn't eat. It is very well written. Might I suggest though you add how much slurry to make and how much spirulina and water to add? Again, this is just a suggestion, the article is also fine as is.
Thanks for the update!
Renee

Thanks for the update! Renee You are correct, although I had the research sites about Omega 3 to update already, I just did not make the time until yesterday. Many of these updates are driven by emails or posts such as yours, although often the ideas are old as in the Slurry for improving fish health, I just often do not think of the many ideas, tests, and other information I have used in the past until someone reminds me. When I was back in LA, I had several persons telling me I needed to put all this down on paper or start a website, but I never found the time and for many reasons, not to mention I just simply did not see the need to at the time (although now in hind site I wish I had done this earlier). I actually had the amount (1) tablespoon, but I re-worded it to make it more clear. Carl
