Hello all,
I want to use Wonder Shell in an Axolotl tank - they need hard water and salts. However, they are notorious for vacuuming up anything that will fit in their mouths and substrate must be sand or gravel larger than their heads.
Does anyone have any suggestions for some sort of cage with absolutely no sharp or abrasive qualities that would tear the amphibian's skin, to put a wonder shell in so the Axolotl can't ingest it but that will allow the shell to dissolve freely?
Thanks in advance.

I've used old prescription bottles with many holes drilled in all around to allow flow.
(sorry for the late response)

I managed to successfully transport my Axolotl 4.5 hrs in a food-grade bucket with perforated lid, sitting in an open cooler with an ice pack and towels and mylar to reflect incoming sunlight, AC on full.
