Hi guys. I have a fantail goldfish that I just treated in a hospital tank for finrot with Kanaplex and a little salt. Baths of Kanaplex, salt, and MB. I know its usually a water quality problem for fin rot, but he was the only one in my tank with it. Everyone else is perfectly healthy with beautiful fins. I measure my water parameters regularly. I do have a sand bottom, which I stir up weekly with water changes, but maybe he found a little bad spot and ingested some bad bacteria? Anyways, I just returned him to the main tank, he seems to be feeling better, but his fins really took a beating. What is the best treatment to protect them while they are healing and hopefully regrowing? The Res-Q or the Stressgaurd?
Thanks, Nicole

Sometimes it can be from injury or even old age makes for deterioration of fins.
I would suggest both Res-Q and StressGuard. Res-Q after a water change and then follow up with StressGuard daily
