Greetings All,
I re-read the thread on use of Garlic Guard vs Garlic Boost. I haven't used any more Garlic Boost since I asked that question - but I did order some Garlic Guard (just to bring my order up to $49 so I would gt free shipping). I intend to only use it when I have picky eaters (added to the frozen foods). I should have it by the end of next week.
I also looked over the thread on medication foods -- and the sections of the site on medicated foods. Would there be any additional benefit adding some Garlic Guard to the medicated General Cure food (for internal parasites)? I will follow Carl's recipe for General Cure medicated food (not nearly as complicated as what I found on Hikari web site).
Some of the mis-information out there on the web states that Garlic treats internal parasites.
This is the article that discusses use in treating internal parasites (just a small group of angelfish).
No rush for an answer....

I do not see any harm in adding any garlic product to the medicated food, if only as an appetite stimulant. As well since garlic contains Allicin, its use may help with secondary bacterial infections which can occur with parasitic infections or even mimic parasitic infections. Thanks Carl,
I will have the Garlic Guard by the end of the week..... I will follow your instructions using General Cure (I have little medicine cups I can pour a packet into to measure it out). I should have the Levamisole sometime next week. I will let you all know how everything turns out. I may lose the angelfish since she stopped eating, but hopefully can save the Pygmy rainbow - he still has a good appetite.
I am going to get more RO water today and do another partial water change - vacuuming the gravel.
Regards,
Judy D.
