Greetings All,
I decided this was the best place to post this info. The other day, I did a Google search to try to find info on expiration of Fresh Trace.... Long story why I stopped using - but thanks to Seachem's site and AAP, I am using it again. I already have my new bottle (and as posted already ordered some Wonder Shells). All I could find online was uninformed answers/guesses.....nothing I was confident was accurate -- and even on Seachem site there was recommendation that it could be refrigerated to extend the shelf life.... Well... my bottle was purchased in 2011.
Carl has already posted info about expiration dates -- and there is info on AAP site. Here is the answer directly from Seachem about Expiration Date of Seachem Fresh Trace:
>>Your bottle of Fresh Trace is perfectly safe to use as is does not have an expiration date. It is found that refrigerating Fresh Trace after use can be beneficial for the components that make up Fresh Trace but it is not necessary.
So.... my new bottle will go in the refrigerator. I am confident now that adding the old Fresh Trace to my aquarium did not do any harm, but I will use the new bottle. I want my fish to get the most benefit.
Now - if anyone else "Googles" Expiration Date of Seachem Fresh Trace - maybe this forum will come up? I also posted the answer on Amazon.
