Hey everybody at EA!! I’m sorry that I haven’t been around much in the last year; let’s just say that my personal life has been kind of rough financially and so I have been working either full-time or more than full-time quite a bit. I still have tanks and I still love all of you guys and since I know I have been really remiss in communicating with everyone I thought I would give an update with some pictures of my fish life.
I still have my rainbow tank and am still totally in love with it. As you can see from the before and after pictures the plants have come in very nicely. The pleco is hard on the amazon swords but I think that’s probably good or they might take over the tank! He completely leaves the java fern alone and only cleans the algae off of the Anubis. In this tank I still have the same 3 Boesmani Rainbows and same 4 Praecox Rainbows and they have matured into beautiful fish. In this tank I also have my adult High-fin spotted pleco, Rocco. For gravel clean up I now have 2 Pictus Catfish, I think they’re the Peruvian variety, they are spotted and I just love them. They are very comical and do a great job of scouring for uneaten food left by the messy rainbows.
These first 3 pictures show the tank when I first added the live plants many moons ago.

Same tank but a lot of time has gone past and as you can see the plants are WAY bigger!

I got an awesome surprise present for my birthday, a new 36 gallon bowfront aquarium to replace my 20 long. I have been wanting to try some barbs for quite a while so I decided that since I was starting all over again anyway that I would go with barbs. So in this tank I have a mixed school of Rosie and Tiger Barbs and I must say that I really love them! For clean up crew I have 4 Zebra Loaches and a high-fin spotted pleco (yes I know he will get quite large, I have an adult in my other tank). I used seasoned media to cycle the tank and so that went pretty smoothly but Ich rode in on a few barbs so right now I’m going through a 10 day treatment cycle and the fish are responding well. I have this tank lightly planted at the moment, I want to see how the amazon swords are going to fill in before I add more plants. I have 2 swords, 2 Anubis and some java fern in there right now.
I hope I can be around more often, I really miss talking to you guys all the time. Here are the links to the full albums so you can look at all the pictures.
