Very funny video! I was laughing through the whole thing! The only thing left to do is teach the cat to figure out how to hang onto the mouse and throw it back. LOL Is this your first cat you have had? I have two and they do the craziest silly things. (Ex. Our black cat Squeaky who plays dead and seems to try to get stepped on to get attention. LOL) It's also nice to see that you got to spend a bit of time not working and enjoying yourself with your kids and cat. Great video!!! Renee

Thanks Renee.
No I have had many cats with very wide differences in personality.
This guy; Tiger is very "Cat Like" in that he owns us (I have had more dog like cats and even one that we raised from a on week old that was down right mean).
Tiger has no interested in going after the mouse or throwing it back as that is too much effort for him, LOL.
That said, he also can be very needy, requiring the light on and someone petting him while he eats to properly enjoy his meals. He also seems to want to talk to me in particular, one time he came running at a fast "trot" and started telling me about what seemed like a horrible experience he just had in the neighborhood.
On the obnoxious side, we rarely keep him inside at night any more as he attacks us all night while we sleep, sometimes getting way to carried away with his overly aggressive Play bites" and scratching. We sometimes put up with it on the really cold winter nights when it rains or or is snowing (although we have a shelter for him)

You're welcome. Cool. I didn't know you were a cat person. I knew you had a dog at one point but I didn't know about cats. The cat-like part about him sounds like my at Kassey who is cat-like but still very different personality-wise. She isn't near as outgoing as yours and is very cautious and hisses at other cats. (Poor silly Squeaky just squeaks and lies down in her way whens she does that to him. lol) Kassey loves to follow me into the bathroom and sits there waiting for hours sometimes. She also starts acting crazy when she's ion there and runs around like a crazy cat. lol She meows loudly something that sounds like "mama mama" repeatedly when I'm out of the room and she wants me. It's like she knows English. lol Squeaky is more playful than her in general and squeaks all the time. No soft cat food out = squeaking. Door is shut = squeaking. No food or any other possible thing means he squeaks. He's a food addict like my fish and is very spoiled and silly yet annoying. lol I guess so. He's waiting until a real mouse shows up that doesn't keep landing in his paws to show what he can do. LOL It sounds like he's torn between being an independent cat and considering everyone in the house his "mom." He does sound a bit needy (or spoiled ). lol That doesn't sound very pleasant, but if he's pretty young, he may grow out of it still. This probably isn't something you or your cat would like, but putting him in room with food, water, and a litter box overnight may work. The outdoors can be quite dangerous, but then again I would feel sorry for the cat having to go through being in a room every night. Just a thought. I am going to try to post some videos of my own cats sometime. Renee

While I have not always had a cat, I have had 5 over the years (generally one at a time). Besides Dogs, Cats, & of coarse fish; I have had MANY other pets. I have had hamsters, Rats, mice, Guinea pigs, snakes (even a rattlesnake I captured before my Mom found out), lizards, chickens, a horse, etc. I even had a large system of tunnels made from wire and wood in an old shed as a kid where the hamsters in one system or the rats in the other could wander long distances but remain safe and caged. This shed was my escape as a child (I was constantly teased after a 4th grade teacher labeled me) where I also had a large train and road system where I made large intricate landscapes.
He really likes the outdoors, as was a cat we found that was abandoned outdoors and followed the kids home. He loves everyone, but has a crazy obnoxious side where is very friendly, while a second later he will give a play bite and turn crazy

Wow. It sounds like you had a lot of pets over the years. I have had plenty of different pets (some for a very short time): cats, parakeets, cockateils, fish, worms, catipillars, a guinea pig, mice, sea monkeys (aka Brine shrimp), and various insect species including a repulsive kind I got as a birthday present at age 9 . The tunnels for your pets and train and road system sound like they must have been a lot of fun to build. Your cat sounds very cute. Squeaky was a stray cat too.

That was a cute video. It was funny, I was in a chat room and people were discussing the funny things that cats do and I happened to see this link at the same time, so I shared the link with the chat room people. They enjoyed it too!
