I may be going to the lfs this weekend if they got my new heaters in stock. I'll have to ask them if they've had any issues with their rasboras. They didn't have very many left the last time I was there. Hopefully they can be honest if this happened with the rest of this batch of Rasboras. IMO; not so much for any reimbursement (not that wouldn't be nice), but more for peace of mind. I always tried to be honest with my customers when this happened (& it did happen as even with quarantine, we still received really sickly batches of fish they would seem fine, but in reality were not). I think it depends on who I talk to. There are a couple of guys there that have been there for a long time. They're not afraid to speak the truth. But if they aren't there and I end up with one of the kids that work there on the weekends, I might not get the story. They might not even know. I won't make it there until Sunday. I do have to call during the week to make sure they will put a heater aside for me. Perhaps I will ask at that time. IF I remember...

Well, I hope this isn't a mistake. We'll see. I put the female betta I got from SuzieQ in my 30 gallon today. I was keeping an eye on the angel fish to see what would happen. The angel was keeping a very suspicious eye on the betta and did chase her a little bit at one point.
I just checked on them again now that the light is on and noticed that the angel was cleaning off the heater. I suppose she'll be laying some eggs soon. Such bad timing!! She can be pretty miserable for the other fish to deal with when she's doing that.
There are enough places for the betta to hide until Egg Time is over, but I'll definitely have to keep a closer eye on things than I thought I would have to.
I really hope things work out. There are only a few fish left in that tank and adding a pretty blue female betta to it will help keep it from looking so empty.

Sorry I missed this post earlier babygeige Anyway, my thought is to move the Betta to a Breeder Net, Bettas due well in more confined spaces from my experience and yet he will still reap the benefits of a larger filtered aquarium I have done this with many clients would loved Bettas but did not want a separate smaller tank or bowl, yet had other fish where compatibility was sometimes in question. I think it's going to be ok! I've been checking up on the tank pretty often. (you should see me trying to be sneaky so the angel won't spot me, lol) After the first day or two, the betta has been looking more at home every day. She wanders around, but is still a little afraid of the angel, although the angel isn't really bothering her.
I think I'm going to put her little betta leaf bed in there though. She seems to like hanging out above the spray bar for the filter, so maybe she'd like to have somewhere to rest near the top of the tank.
