The guy that gave me the 50 gal corner tank has decided he wants an aquarium after all. But this time he got a little 3.2 gallon tank that hangs on the wall and looks like a submarine portal. www.overstock.com/Gifts-Flowers/Artquarium-Bubble-Porthole-Wall-mounted-Aquarium/3046933/product.html?rcmndsrc=2He asked me to help him choose fish and get it set up. I think I convinced him the best fish for this would be a betta, although it sounded like he was hoping to be able to keep multiple fish in there. But knowing him and how much effort he'll actually put into maintaining it, I believe a betta really would be the best thing. He should be getting it in a week or so. I'm looking forward to helping him get it going. I always like setting up new aquariums, even if they are small ones!

I agree a betta is the best fish for this aquarium. BTW, (& my apologies for coming off as negative), Overstock.com & Amazon.com are notorious for selling questionable aquarium products that have limited functionality (such as the terrible Green Killing Machine which we rejected after TOTAL failure with our sister service businesses). The picture shows fantail goldfish which should never be kept in a tank such as this Anyway, I am glad you are getting him going with a BettaCarl

Yeah, we'll see what kind of quality this aquarium has when it comes. It's supposed to come with a submersible filter of some kind. If it looks like junk, he won't have any problem with buying a better one at the lfs. As long as the tank itself doesn't leak or anything, I should be able to get him up and running.
Considering what he's paying for a 3 gallon aquarium, it should be awesome! We shall find out soon enough.
