looks great Carl....maybe you should give up on the motorhome and start camping the old fashioned way....in a tent...less grief and way cheaper...btw....family looks happy....

Very nice pictures. Your kids look like they had a great time on the horses. Did you go riding as well?

Yes, we all went riding, I just did not save the pictures of me and my wife (Jodie). These pics were taken by the guide and we had to watch our budget so we opted only for the kids pictures. BTW, I added several more pictures to my 2010 Pictures PageBill, we have thought about the tent thing (which I did for over ten years prior to the kids being born), however the kids had a heart attack at this suggestion (especially Michelle). We are thinking of using the money we can get by selling the motorhome toward purchasing a trailer my business truck can pull, but even with this idea Michelle cannot stand the thought of being stuck in a small car/truck seat for 48 hours of driving without a bathroom, fridge, etc. (this was part of the problem as I was constantly battling with the generator to get it to work while in transit, even though we just had it serviced and could have spent over $3000 over the generators life attempting to keep it fixed as it was a lemon from day one with its first failure on our first vacation when only a couple months old). We have not decided what to do yet, but based on the rude behavior by a local RV dealer & others, we are not all that impressed with this industry anymore (even for a used vehicle which is likely all we could afford even with trade credit). a trailer is a very viable option. we have a 19 footer that comfortably sleeps 6 and we pull it with a 2005 gmc envoy 6 cylinder without a problem. we have a full bathroom and kitchen and furnace as well....

This is what I am trying to convince my family! Plus once un-hitched we have a better vehicle to explore back roads or even go into the isolated roads of Yellowstone to view Wolves. The main negative as I see it is our dog, with the motorhome she is always with us, while with the trailer we would have to leave her inside the trailer while we explore since the PU truck might get too hot to leave while hiking or otherwise exploring BTW, thanks for noting this Bill, as we only have a V6 and with GCVW we are a bit worried, but your comment adds to my confidence as to the viability of this. Carl, I second the suggestion of getting a bumper pull. We looked at one a couple of years ago (we have an explorer and it would not have pulled it..rated for 1000 lbs and under ). I think it was 19 or 22 ft. I liked it (I was thinking "this is big enough for the dog"...Great Dane) a lot but it would have meant getting a pick-up to pull it and at the time we still had all the credit cards. If your dog goes with you on vacation, then she should be ok being left in the trailer. You could also take her hiking unless she has health problems that would keep her from keeping up. Love the pix by the way

Thanks Lori (Suzi Q)! I listed the motor home on Craigs list and sold it today. My wife and kids liked a really nice used travel trailer at a local RV consignment place and we are in the process of buying this. It is 26 feet with room for our family, especially since I will make a bed in my PU truck (inside the shell). I also was able to work a very good deal with our local Toyota dealer that sold me the truck to trade it back (at only a $3000 loss for depreciation for 30,000 miles of use) and get one with the heavy duty trailer package and 375 hp V8 rated for a 10,600 lb trailer (which the one we are getting is only 6700). So the bottom line is everything has come together very well, the family is very happy ;D Carl

Nice place and the perfect animal to ride on and also the perfect place to set a campfire in the night.
