I'm very sorry you lost one of your clowns. I don't have any idea why it happened but I did want you to know that I am sorry it happened.

Snail died this morning =( Not the same tank. He was at least 2 years old and quite big for a domestic apple snail. I will miss him. I have him on the cement getting eaten by ants now...ill keep his shell.

Oh no...I'm sorry you lost your snail too. I have lost one of my fish too this week so I can relate. You walk by the tank and catch yourself doing your normal 'scan' of the tank and then it clicks that they aren't there. It sucks. I'm so sorry.....

Sorry I missed this thread yesterday Angel, sorry as well about your Clown loach & apple snail It is possible that the remaining Clown Loach was harassing this poor guy. Is your GH over 150 ppm? The fluid in inside the body cavity is normal as this happens after death in fish (& other animals). I would watch your other Clown Loach for any unusual symptoms, consider a salt & Methylene Blue bath if any unusual behavior comes up. Make sure you keep up with positive mineral ions as well, the GH test can help with this, but is not always accurate as to the positive ion charge. Carl

Sorry to hear that you lost your clown loach and snail. These things are never easy. I just had to euthanize a guppy yesterday so I understand how you feel. I hope the rest of your fish are doing better.

Real sorry to hear you lost your clown loach and snail.
If you recently changed the water, I would check the tap water too as a precaution.
