I had a female platy that was constipated (I didn't know it at the time) and had trouble eating from the top and swimming problems (strong currents would flip her over on her side, etc.). After a few days of mostly fasting (gave her a cut-up cooked pea) in a hospital tank and a couple of MB/salt baths, I put her in the fry tank to see if she would do better. I fed the fry frozen daphnia and she started eating that. I think that helped clear the blockage and now she is fully recovered. I don't know if this is what your angel has but you can read the thread titled swim bladder disease.

Danny, fishfever makes a good point, even if the symptoms are not 100% similar, this is a simple and basic step to follow that at the least would cause no further harm. As well you may be dealing with internal worms (trematodes), for which treatment can be much more difficult, especially in your situation, as there really are no homemade remedies I can think of for this other than maybe the use of Quinine Water, but since I have never done this, I cannot give any doing instructions over than trial and error (I would use it outside the main aquarium too) Carl

Have you lost an angel yest to this bloating?
If at all able to obtain, the Methylene Blue in the bath increases effectiveness of the bath, especially if the bloat is caused bt pathogens.
You can try feeding mosquito larvae, however these are often from polluted waters, so they MUST be washed prior to use so to not add to the problem. Again a chemical bath would be helful for cleaing the larvae, such as Methylene Blue or Hydrogen Peroxide.

If needs be you could put containers of clean water outside for mosquitoes to lay eggs in. Within three days you should have larvae, maybe even sooner. You would still need to rinse them with a disinfectant as Carl said, Methylene Blue or Hydrogen Peroxide; however there would be less risk of harmful chemical pollutants if it was your own clean water and collecting the larvae would probably be easier.

Sorry to get off topic but this raises a question. Do freeze-dried mosquito larvae need to be washed as well? Just wondering.
Are your angels showing any other symtoms besides bloating? Also, have you tested your water? Good luck with your angels Danny. I hope the female who hasn't died stops being bloated.

What treatments have you done to this point, and at what frequency? With your limited resources there is only so much you can do, and even then this is an often difficult problem to correctly diagnose and treat. Carl

Yes, these are great places to start. I fixed a few of your photos, but I did not have time Next time use the forth button from the left on the second row above the reply template to frame your image url rather than HTML which will not work on this type of board. Hope you understand my explanation Carl
