hi all i haven't been on for a while but need to ask something.i got shot of the goldfish that were given to me and was going to clean out the filter from there tank to use in the tropical one is this OK to do as it is a much better one than the one i have at the moment it is a flu val 4 ?with sponge, charcoal (carbon) and little stone like things for the filter setup. cheers in advance cos i know you will come up with the best advice possible.

hey, he lives! LOL! so you're saying you're going to replace the filter you have w/ a hang on the back you used for the goldfish? need to understand first tank size and filter type of existing and what you're replacing it w/ to give ya the best answer OK? been a while and I can't remember off the top of this old head

it is okay to use this filter....but if you can, double filter your tank with the old AND new filter to allow the new one to develope a few bacterium to keep the tank healthy
