I have one rainbow shark in a ten gallon tank, he is five or six inches long. I have heard they are pretty solotary fish but should I add any other fish to keep him company? I know its a small tank so I don't want to add any more than I have to. Any ideas?

you can....altho a 10 gallon is too small for that size of minnow. but a general rule for those guys is....none of their own but they are pretty good with other fish types that arent competing for food....tetras etc are all good. rainbows are actually pretty good community fish.

I would recommend you get a bigger tank for him. He would probably fair better in a 20 plus then you'd have more room to add fish to keep him company.
