Well, I am going to be getting 4 of my flamebacks. They are unsexed so lets hope I get a male out of it to replace my dead one. I am also getting some Paralabidochromis Chromogynos "Zue Island" These are also very rare.(or suppose to be anyways) So am pretty excited. Keep your fingers crossed that one of the flamebacks turn out male as I really don't want/need more females.

It's always good to have a surplus of females..... and one extra male in case of a tragedy.

Anyone have any experience with the Zue Islands mentioned above? Are they rare as claimed? I know they are on the critically endangered list just like my kyoga flamebacks.

Sorry, I have no experience with them. How many tanks do you have, Brenda? Do you spawn all of the fish you own? That is an awesome responsibility you are taking on. I have a few "hard to find" fish, but none are endangered. I would be afraid I would do something stupid and kill them all and mine would have been the last ones on earth....

I have 3 tanks set up currently...I would have more but the husband might kill me!!! LOL!!! I have not spawned fish before...this is my new venture and I like to be different. Plus, I am helping out if all goes well. I welcome any advice.

I too am not familiar with these cichlids, but I just checked out your link and these look like really nice fish and they don't get to large as per your article.
When do you expect to get these?

I still have the Dat...Sorry, I forgot to list him. I didn't know you would've liked the Empress...Gosh what a loser I am!!! Hey though, if it makes you feel any better if I can get my Flamebacks and Zue Island's breeding I'll send you some!!! The Zue Islands are quite rare and hard to find. Plus, they are on the critically endangered list so you could try to breed them too.

Nah not a loser I just wanted to give you a hard time. I pointed you on to the Empress from before because I already had the TR's and Boreyli's so when I looked back I realized the Empress looks much better but too late. I think still though, I'm just going to focus on keeping those Madagascars. Looks like they'll take quite a bit of time to reach full maturity anyways. I'm trying to find a way to bring the 75 gallon tank over to here as it is. Just not sure how I'm going to work 3 tanks here in the upstairs like that.
