Good article Barbara...That is an awesome looking fish. They must be hard to get as I have not really seen them in all the searching I do for fish.

My LFS had one that was full grown, and a terror on their planted show tank. They offered to sell it to me for $70, which I thought was a little much for one fish.

My LFS had one that was full grown, and a terror on their planted show tank. They offered to sell it to me for $70, which I thought was a little much for one fish. $70??!! Wow, that's up there for such a small freshwater fish. I mean that's discus or stingray money class. But then, my angelicus were $21 a piece and they were tiny, they might be pretty near up there for full grown. The one problem with LFS's being able to get that much for them is that is just going to encourage poachers to catch and export them. If there's good money to be made some jerk is always ready to try and make it no matter whom they hurt. Sometimes it pains my heart very deeply to think of the animals that suffer and die so people can make money off of them on the black market.
