great point, it's almost as if one should post the pertinent information in the middle to the end of the article to get the reader to absorb the entire statement of facts! it's like labels on pill bottles.....if you stop reading at "not intended for pregnant women" just because you're not pregnant doesn't mean that what follows after that isn't relevant or pertinent to the individual - or putting down a book before you're finished because you think you know the ending.....poor examples maybe, but the point is, the entire article should be read to absorb as much information as possible to get the whole picture!

but really, unfortunately....most people who aren't taking care of these fish properly aren't going to take the time to actually read these, even if we try to make them like that. They'll be too lazy and just go find another site that will tell them what they want to hear.
But that's okay too because I bet if we can at least get a few people to start thinking right about how they care for fish then we're starting somewhere!

I hate to agree w/ you Sammy but unfortunately too often that's the way it is - I feel it is my obligation as moderator to read all thses articles completely so that I can give the best knowledge available to me when asked, or know where to refer people to research - that's why I can't stress enough to all here to read these articles that Carl has worked so hard on - and don't stop when you think you found the answer - keep reading ! there may be more! thanks for your input!

huhu guys i never said anything about rewriting them at all i said rearanging the different points of the article I cannot speak for others, but that is my current understanding & I believe that seems to be others as well. I think I & others are simply expressing points of view as to why if an article is too easy to simply take snips from, some important concepts may be lost, however that does not mean and article should be too hard to follow either I think the general idea is to go article by article, but only if this does not affect the information contained there in a way that certain ideas are lost. Some of these ideas can be added in contributor notes as well. Although, I honestly time would best be spent getting more profiles going rather than be overly concerned about the flow of information in those already done unless there are factual errors (such as one Jon caught on my part a week or so ago) Carl
