NTD

Hello everyone. I have had a recent wipeout of almost all my existing Neons which live in my quarantine tank, from new neons added from my LFS. They were carrying NTD. I was able to remove most of the bodies, but a couple of them were partially eaten. I know that is how that parasite/organism is spread. My worry is I have 3 corys in that tank. Due to the fact that they are scavengers, I am worried they consumed the bodies they came across. I know not everything is susceptible to NTD, but is it possible a cory can contract this condition? I want to knock this tank down and move the corys to my main tank. Want to make sure they cant spread anything. It has been a few weeks and they seem stable and healthy to me.
-Thanks, Nicole

Thanks Carl,
I have the Vecton 200 on my main tank, not on my quarantine, but I am tearing the quarantine tank down. I have had NTD twice in the last 3-4 years and one super resistant version of ich last summer. I am so tired of bringing home sick neons. Next time I buy a new fish for my main tank, I will borrow some filter media from that tank and just put them in a plastic tub for their quarantine period. I will give it another 3-4 weeks for the corys. If they did consume some infected bodies, is there a chance they can just digest/pass the parasite/organism?

Since true NTD is a Sporozoan, if you want be extra sure that it is gone, a total tear down (including bleaching) of the tank would be in order. Short of this, running the UV with a lamp 6 months old or newer and a very good vacuuming of the gravel is in order.
