Can you please take another look at the pics? The colors are so dramatically different. Does Spectrum darken with age? I ask because I've never used Spectrum before and have never experienced this. Thank you for your time and kind consideration!

The picture looks normal from my long time use of the product. It is noteworthy that nitrofurazone (an ingredient of AAP Spectrogram) can be different colors depending upon water and oxygen exposure Carl

Poor Obama does not very good. The tank does not look very colored like it should with the use of AAP Spectrogram. Make sure that Carbon is removed from the HOB filter, otherwise any in tank treatment will be a waste of time. Spectrogram can be safely doubled if need be. You can also use a Medicated Wonder Shell with a normal dose of Spectrogram in a worse case scenario. I might suggest a fish bath with MethyBlu and a high dose of NaCl Salt along with Epsom Salt Reference: www.aquarium-pond-answers.com/2009/07/fish-baths.htmlIf Obama will eat, soaking the food with AAP DiscoMed might yield some positive results too As for AAP Spectrogram color, as I noted earlier, it is the ingredient "Nitrofurazone" that affects the color. This can change rapidly from interaction with water, oxygen and even other chemicals (Methylene Blue even in small amounts will change it green and is used in another combination product called NitroFuraG) Carl

You can't help but go, "This looks COMPLETELY different?! What's going on?!" Carl, you are a true gentleman with a heart of gold. I hope your poor puffer feels better soon. They go through enough just being carted around in the aquarium industry, poor babies. I'm so glad he's with a responsible fish owner who realizes his needs and takes good care of him. Keep up the good fight for the puffers. They are awesome and deserve better treatment.
