Yah! A 5 in 1. That's what we needed! Agree with Carl, pH regulators adjust pH and it's hard to keep a stable pH. According to your 5in1, you KH is low. KH is what creates a stable pH. Need 50-90pmm PH to create a stable pH. This tells me exactly the problem with the aggressive issues. A swinging pH is one of the most stressful for the fish. You need SeaChem Alkalinity. Or even baking soda would bring it up. SeaChem Alkalinity is better. " KH; is carbonate hardness, but a more accurate description is alkaline buffering which is what prevents a drop in pH when a certain volume of acid is introduced into an aquarium." www.fishbeginner.info/home/aquarium-gh-kh-ph-chemistry-what-to-know/This would be a good article for you. Simple and easy. If you understand it, then move onto the link right below- The Aquarium Chemistry Congrats on your job promotion...You're going to be a fish pro in no time.

Okay so I changed the water that I do my water changes to my tub water (ibtreat and let the water sit overnight before use) the GH is blue (180) the KH is greenish (80) I used prime and let the water sit in jugs so the chlorine was white 0ppm. PH tested between 6.8 /7.2 says ideal alkalinity was 80ppm said moderate on the 5 in 1 the water was hard at 150 and of course no nitrite no nitrate. And I changed their food to the good stuff but that food is super messy ! So I try and hand feed them so it doesn't get all over the tank lol. And the chasing hasn't completely stopped but! It has lessened I had the lights off for the water change and I also took out the manzita wood giving them more room. And I can see a change in my fishes attitude as well as my water not being so cloudy.
Let's just hope it keeps progressing ! && they're not just playing nice this week lol
Let me know what you think of my new water parameters && my method.

So, those are your tap readings? And what's a current tank reading? Or those tank readings?
Yes, the food can be messy. It's just a different way of feeding since it's dehydrated (to preserve all essentials of the food). It's not like throwing pellets in, you have to break pieces off and place them in. They can also be soaked if they don't sink right away.

I feel such a big weight lifted off my shoulders ! This forum was a blessing ! I couldn't thank you guys enough!😍 I am proud to say my fish look alot happier since I rearranged my tank gave them more room and have been working on keeping my ph neutral && keeping an eye on my GH and KH. I always thought the basics were nitrate ,nitrite, && ammonia because that's all the fish store told me. But with some new foujnd knowledge it's been 2 full days and I haven't seen them picking on eachother!!! Now they just pick at my plants 😂 but I would rather them pick on my plants then pick on eachother.
I have one last curiosity, do you have any reccomendations on what's good for my plants growth other than the lighting ? I use leaf zone but I feel as if it's not as effective as it could be.

Very glad!
For the plant growth. A good substrate is what's needed. There's ferts and what not, but it really starts with their roots.
A couple of your plants are not even meant to be under water. The one floating and the one that looks like it little to the left. Pet Smart (Petco) actually grows all plants in green houses and sells them as aquatic plants. Some can be submerged (in water) some are meant to be emerged (leaf out of water). So, just put their roots in the water. Leaf out.

They are chasing my lionhead again... it's just him. It's like just because he's different with no top fin they don't like him! And my water parameters are still the same! Accept for a very small trace of nitrate like miniscule but it's nothing a small vacume wouldn't fix its goinna happen with that messy for and 4 goldfish wastes lol ill bacume the tank after work tonight. But i really don't want to have to separate these goldies!

He most likely not as strong, so he's on the pecking order to pick on.

It's very upsetting. I don't want them to kill him. I pick up my other tanks from Florida by April-ish hopefully he will be okay until then

I have seen Lionheads invariably get picked on much more than other fancy goldfish time and time again over the years. I suspect exactly what you noted, the lak of the "tip" fin makes these fish struggle much more to swim well and other fish sense this

Don't fish know it's not nice to pick on others because they're different 🙄 lol 😂
