Since the turn of the year, something's been in the air! I personally have been dealing with much upheaval and turmoil, and unfortunately have found this to be the case with many of my friends, family, and loved ones. It's been a rough year all the way around, for far too many of us! I always feel best when helping others, so in my search to ease suffering I found 2 Carinotetraodon Travancoricus (Pea Puffers) who were very emaciated and likely had IPs, with the smallest of the 2 girls having a red blister on her chin (likely from being so thin and glass surfing). They've been with me a month today! Meet Honey (dew) and Cantaloupe (Honey is the smaller one with chin ouchie)...my 5 yr old son named them lol The final introduction is to my new Tertraodon Cochinchinensis (Fangs puffer). This red eye beauty weighs in at only 1.25" and is very social for her genus. They grow to 3" (some places say 4", but that's unlikely) and like the pea puffs is also FW. In my search for C. Irrubesco puffers I found her, and Fangs are now the only dwarf-ish sized red eye available in the hobby- but they are still uncommon. So after 3 visits to the store, and seeing how social she was (lurker species usually just mope in the sand and lunge out to eat once a day) always swimming about, coming right to the front to greet me- I couldn't fight it. She's been home for all of 24 hours. She loved her huge 20gal long vs the 10gal she was cramped in with 2 other puffers (they were bullying one another nearly to death 😡 ). Meet....well, we haven't named her yet (I'm not letting my little guy name this one...lol)

How neat.
I agree with you, something has been in the air. It seems it was and still has been reflect through the election. There's been a lot of hate, and I think that harbors in people different and things can happen like rude interactions, health issues, or even mistakes.
I'm glad your giving these guys a good home!

That's so interesting that you mention the new president, I couldn't find a way to articulate my thoughts on it, but you said it very well. There are so many changes ripping through our world- socially, economically, environmentally... and it all rolls down hill. There has been much suffering as of late, so much pain felt worldwide. I can't help but think of the movie "the purge", and how social psychology plays a role in the acceptance of cruelty- especially in America. I wish kindness was as contagious as indifference.
All I can do is wholeheartedly pray we all grow stronger and smarter for our struggles!

I know that sounds weird, but from what I've seen, people with that power don't think the same way us working class do. Seems like a messed up way of distraction and population control. People might think that sounds a little conspiracy minded, but I haven't seen anything proving the opposite and I'm been watching intently. I stick to my faith as it's the only thing that makes sense and keeps me fair more positive than this world can or will.
