What are some good preemptive/preventative treatments to use for new fish in quarantine? After my last experience I will assume all new fish will have internal and external parasites and or secondary infections. Methylene blue looks like a good choice for fish that have been in transit for 16+ hours. Bath them in MB first? Then add to QT tank? General Cure looks to cover a broad spectrum of issues. Furan2? Clout? Salt? Tetra Parasite Guard? Quick Cure? others?
I was thinking about introducing the new arrivals to a bath and then adding them to the quarantine tank but not sure what is the best procedure... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
