Just woke up and turned the lights on, shes floating on the top...But still alive! Anything I can do for her? Shes pretty fat, must be PG? If I touch her with the net she will move, but then goes right to the top again.

That's terrible! I think Carl and Jon just helped Renee with that same problem. I think they used some sort of salt bath, but I'm not sure. Sorry I can't offer more help, but your poor fish has my sympathies!

Oh poor platy! It looks very bloated. Did she just become that way overnight? I would probably try a salt bath, at least until someone that knows more comes along and can see this. Could it be a swim bladder problem?
I wish I could help more!

How did you acclimate him?
Was he OK when first added?
Unfortunately he does not look good.
As mentioned earlier in this thread a salt bath would be my first coarse of action. In this severe case, I would make both a bath and a dip. Starting with a 30 minute bath I would add 2 teaspoons aquarium, regular or marine salt per 1 gallon. I would ALSO add Methylene Blue as per directions on bottle up to triple dose.
THEN in the last 5 minutes of the bath I would slowly add a fully dissolved saltwater mix (at least 1.016 specific gravity if you have a hydrometer, otherwise at least 5 tablespoons per gallon salt) to this bath making it a saltwater dip. This is admittedly harsh, but a Platy should withstand this, and with this poor guy there is little you could do otherwise.

I took over an hour to acclimate her. She was big, but not that swollen. So the salt and the meth blue together to start?

Yes, and as per our Private Messages, please separate her from the rest as your description seems to identify Ichthyophonus which is extremely difficult to treat (unfortunately usually impossible, but prevention is possible). I'm taking her back to pet smart in the morning (thanks for the idea murdock) Called and talked to the manager, he said his so called fish expert would be there at 8am Told him I was worried about my other fish, not sure what hes going to do there? My other fish do seem OK so far...

Glad he is doing well now. I would continue baths, although not as extreme on the salt as we have been communicating by PM You noted that she is back in the main tank, I would still be careful with this, but I am glad to read that this did work out, as often a fish with these symptoms does not recover readily if at all. This is how she looked the next Morning! Did A bunch of Meth blue baths and salt. Didn't seem to help her to much. So the last one I did, the water was so blue, couldn't even see the fish, with extra salt. Did the bath for 30min. Put her in fresh water for 10 Min's. Made an extra strong quick cure bath, soaked her for 20 Min's. Changed the water added salt. put her on a heating pad on low and this is how she looked in the morning! Sure was a lot of poo in the bowl too! She seems fine now, but have been doing meth blue baths everyday. Also quick cure every other day.
