Do you have any feed back on Seachem Pristine used by anyone? Richard I have not used this product, nor have I received any feedback from friends in the hobby or industry on this product Here is a quote from SeaChem: "Pristine uses bio-augmentation, a non-chemical and natural method, to improve water quality. It contains different strains of bacteria from Stability that have a high affinity for larger proteins such as sludge buildup on substrate, waterfalls, rocks, etc. It also helps rid your tank of the oil slick on the surface of the water, typically a result of overfeeding." I suspect this product is mostly Heterotrophs as found in other sludge removing products. Such products are not really meant for cycling or even aiding cycling, rather after discovery of excess bio decomp in an aquarium or pond. I rarely found a need for such products with aquariums based on the care I provided my customers. However with ponds, it is much easier for organic debris to accumulate, making the use of such products more useful Reference: www.seachem.com/pristine.phpCarl

I've seen someone swear by it, but it never made sense to me. There shouldn't be a problem if the person is using uvc, which the person who promotes it, doesn't...
