Hi, I hope someone can give me some info on the medication Metronidazole and Prazi used in API General Cure. I have a dozen or so Assassins and I may have to treat my fish (Platys) for Hexamita? (might have spelled that wrong). Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Carl, thanks for your response. I will not use the API general cure. My water parameters are excellent and I use wonder shells, I keep the KH above 7 degrees as my tap water has a low KH. My tank is heavily planted. My water parameters are: Ammo: 0 ppm Nitrite: 0 ppm Nitrates: <80 ppm PH: 7-7.5 Phosphate: <1 ppm GH: 12+ degrees KH: 7-8 degrees
I will order some of the SeaChem metronidazole, thanks again for your help.

Feeding can also make a difference, as many vitamins/nutrients/enzymes are cooked out or are not readily absorbed. What food(s) are you currently feeding?
